I love Ms. Scott’s historical novels she has accurately portrayed the times and sensations of 17th century life and people. She takes risks with her characterizations which is what makes her art so successful. Being unafraid to go out on a limb is what makes an historical novelist a giant.
I never knew about Katherine Sedley before, even though I thought I knew this period of English history. It’s such a fun period and I’d have loved to attend a party then. I’d love to read this book.
