Tonight at 9PM EST premieres Boardwalk Empire – a new HBO drama set in the 1920s at the height of the Jazz age, written by Terence Winter (the Emmy Award-winning writer of The Sopranos) and directed by Academy Award-winner Martin Scorsese. Boardwalk Empire takes place in Atlantic City at the dawn of Prohibition, when the sale of alcohol became illegal throughout the United States.
